"Grammar has and always will be part of our family!"

Carl'65: I attended the Halifax Grammar School in the sixties when it was still an all male school. Academics were taught in classical methods, physical activity, swimming, and many clubs to join, chess being my favourite. Magical times were had in the ‘Hallowed Halls’ of Grammar. We thoroughly enjoyed being along for the ride with our son Matt’08, a Grammar lifer, who attended Grammar from Grade Primary to Grade Twelve.
Ann and Carl'65: Academics, athletics, and cultural activities are daily essentials at Grammar. Hand in hand with the amazing academic professional team, your child enjoys learning by doing, and develops important life skills. It didn’t matter if a task was enjoyable or frustrating, we always felt Matt was supported by faculty members and his peers.
As parents, there were always volunteer opportunities, which was a great way to meet people, make friends, and support the school’s community and fiscal development. It truly felt like a family.
We spent such wonderful years at Grammar, making memories and lifelong friendships. Thank you, Grammar, you are the best!
Carl and Ann's son, Matthew'08, is a Grammar alumnus. Carl is a graduate of the Class of '65.
